Rud & Pickarts Marketing Company (RPMco)

Eric Rud, CPMR, President Joined RPMco in 1985 after serving in the 82nd Airborne Division of the U.S. Army.  Became president of RPMco in 1997. Earned Certified Professional Manufacturers Representative designation in 1994. Currently serves on the Manufacturers Representatives of America Board of Directors.
Steve Pickarts, CPMR Joined RPMco in 1992 following graduation from the University of North Texas.  Became manager of RPMco's Houston sales office and warehouse location later that year.  Earned Certified Professional Manufacturers Representative designation in 2001.
Bart Rud, CPMR, Vice President Joined RPMco full time in 1995 after earning a marketing degree from the University of North Texas. Bart serves as manager of the San Antonio office and handles sales in San Antonio and the Rio Grande Valley. Earned Certified Professional Manufacturers Representative designation in 2008.

Company Profile

The company that exists today as Rud & Pickarts Marketing Co. (RPMco) was founded in 1979 by Richard (Dick) Rud as R. Rud Sales Company. The original plan was to specialize in industrial and retail packaging because of Dick’s paper mill background. In 1981 Dick bought out another rep agency, and the company became Rud & Worfford and added food service, food packaging and janitor supply lines to its ledger.

Upon Bob Worfford’s retirement in 1984, Bill Pickarts became a partner and the name was changed to Rud & Pickarts Marketing Co. (RPMco).

Our goal is to provide that critical professional link for the movement of products from a group of quality manufacturers to a group of quality distributors.

Among the major assets of RPMco are the many long term relationships we enjoy with our distributors. Many of these relationships precede the founding of RPMco as both major principals, now retired, spent several years working with distribution in Texas and Oklahoma prior to 1979.  The second generation has continued and grown these relationships with both the manufacturer and distribution community.

We currently serve as Manufacturers Representatives for 18 manufacturers of industrial, retail, and food packaging, food service and janitor supply products. We also operate as a stocking warehouse for mainly industrial and retail packaging products and have warehouses in the Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio areas.

Our excellent field sales staff of nine allows for the personal call frequency necessary to keep customers completely up to date and gives us a big edge in providing the mandatory end user support which is necessary in today’s marketplace.

We also provide a sales support staff of eight including four full-time customer service people, so that our customers receive answers to inquiries and other questions promptly.

We offer state of the art telephone, computer, and voice mail systems and provide both telephone and fax numbers on a toll free basis.

We have salespeople living in all of our major marketing areas and all are equipped with the technology tools for immediate accessibility.
