Lawrence E. Walter, President Larry Walter is the founder and President of Group W, which had its official beginning in 1972. For the ten years prior to the founding of Group W, Larry was the "Walter" in Manbeck, Walter & Tucci, Ltd., an institutional food brokerage firm covering northeast Ohio. Before 1961, Larry covered Ohio for American Lace Paper Co., where he learned the importance and necessity of "pull-through." Past President of PPRMC.

Alison Walter, Vice President/Treasurer Graduate of Kent State University with a BBA degree and a major in marketing. Alison joined Group W in 1987 as a combination outside sales/inside customer service rep. Prior to joining the Group, Alison managed a retail marine supply store.

At Group W, Inc. our goal is to remain the number one food service representative for disposables in our market by providing the greatest possible market penetration for our principals while still providing them with the greatest profit.

Group W prides itself on our continuity of representation. We have represented over half of our principals for over 20 years! Four of our six outside people have been with us for fifteen years or more. Three of the four ladies in our customer service department have been with us for ten years or more.

The Group W facilities include a 2,500 sq. ft. office and a 50,000 sq. ft. warehouse. We have been computerized since 1973. Our office is equipped with an Altos 486 mini-computer with nine terminals and four printers; totally customized "Thoroughbred" software system: Gateway 2000, P5-90 personal computer for desktop publishing, word processing, price lists and spreadsheets.
