After earning a degree in business economics at the University of California at Santa Barbara, Patrick developed his professional selling skills at Wallace Computer Services in the business forms division. At Wallace he held the increasingly responsible positions of sales representative, sales supervisor, assistant district manager, and district manager before becoming, 1989, a partner at Sales West Partners. Since becoming managing partner of the firm in 1992, he has played a key role in Sales West Partners expansion. Patrick currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Manufacturers Representatives of America.

Founded in 1985, the Access Group Northern California goal was to become the most effective non-foods disposables rep group in northern California and northern Nevada. Motivated to be the regional experts in any product category represented by the firm, Access Group Northern California has consistently added sales professionals to the firm to support expansion. Over fifteen years of continuous growth for Access Group Northern California and each of our manufacturers has produced a firm that is not only the most effective in the market, but also boasts the largest team in the region dedicated to non-food disposable sales.

Access Group Northern California must at all times remain the most effective and profitable way for each of our partner manufacturers to go to market in our region. This means becoming an integrated part of our manufacturer’s team and using our extensive investments in personnel and technology to maximize market penetration and profitability.

Our successful sales and marketing strategies are based on four basic principals: Focus – We represent a limited number of quality lines to ensure maximum results for our principals. Specialization – We represent only disposable product lines sold to the foodservice and janitorial industry, and all of our lines are complimentary. We do not dilute our effectiveness in this core business by handling food products. Concentration – California and Nevada each have two separate and distinct market areas, northern and southern. We are headquartered in the San Francisco Bay area which is the hub of northern California commercial activity. This location enables us to efficiently cover this important area. And finally, End User Work – In today’s highly competitive market place, end-user work is the key to growth and penetration for any manufacturer. Overburdened distributor sales representatives cannot be expected to generate new business on their own. Access Group Northern California is the only northern California rep firm to have end-user professionals dedicated to non-food lines. Our end-user program increases leverage at the distributor level and gives greater control in the market to our manufacturers.

Access Group Northern California’ offices are located near the Oakland airport. This location, convenient to all of the Greater Bay area, lets us maximize the use of our 4,000 sq. ft. facility complete with a training room and close to 1,000 sq. ft. of sample display area. Our results-oriented staff maximizes their efficiency through the use of the latest customized opportunity tracking and customer relationship management software.
